Final piece Paolo Nutini - Rewind

Here is our final video for Paolo Nutini's Rewind.

This image was chosen to be the front cover of the digi-pack as i felt i had a lot of strong messages behind it, with Leo being sat on his own, I had tried to make the two D's combine and appear as a sand timer. I thought this was a striking front cover as the name is bold and the contrast between white and black in the text and image helps it become more visible from further away.

I have editied this picture of Conor to give it a more edgy feel to it, I decided to change the colour of the lighting to red as this is the colour of love. This page is where I would just the Cd to be placed as the lighting effects would seem like they are shining down on the disk.

 This picture of Leo is also another iconic image that represents both the genre of music and the way that he sings the songs.

I have used this Image for the back cover and the track list as I had an idea for the tracks to follow the path with the artist as if he was going on a journey through the music as well.

This image has kept the iconic image of our artist sat alone looking depressed. With the help of Photoshop, i edited the hue and the colours to make it seem like the sun was shining down on him only, I have also edited the image to look more colourful at the top with the tree tops with purple and as your eyes go down the picture the colours take a darker turn, I thought this met his eyeline and his mental state as he is feeling down and dark.
This Title has been reversed, I have tried to make the word 'REWIND' link at the end of the two 'D's to look like a sand timer to give the effect of time and going back.

Casting 2

Below are pictures of the actor and actress we are using for our piece. We decided upon these who as we thought they matched the theme of the video we were aiming for. As we wanted indie looking people we thought both Fraser and Hannah matched our idea of what the characters should look like. As we had used Fraser in our preliminary task, we knew what his acting skills were like and we decided to use him again based upon this. Hannah has a wide acting background from being in other peoples pieces and from taking drama, we thought she would be very capable of taking part in ours. The pictures below show Fraser and Hannah, as you can see they match the style we were going for

Response to the pitch

I thought the pitch was successful. I think that from using a timetable of dates to keep on track with both filming editing and group discussions we managed to keep on task unless unforeseen things such as a change in actor availability changes. From creating the animatic, i found that it will help us in the long run as it gives a good overview of what the final product may look like. I was very happy with the song and artist choice as I thought it gave us a good margin and genre to work with as the meanings behind the lyrics can be twisted and changed during the narrative and performances. Overall I am happy about the outcome of the final piece considering the troubles that were had during editing with problems such as outfits of actors, as like Mahida has said we thought that Hannah was dressed too casually for the home scene, however I think we worked round it well. I felt that we have also picked very good actors in general for our piece as they knew what they were doing and worked to a very high standard and sacrificed a lot of time for us.
