Paolo Nutini is a young Scottish actor, signed to Atlanic records. Atlantic records have a history of signing many acts like Paolo such as James Blunt, Jason Mraz and Cody Sampson. These artists are all examples of young indie solo acts. Paolo broke through in the mainstream pop scene in early 2009 after many Glastonbury appearances. His album Sunny Side Up was a big hit in indie music as his unique voice and lyrics represented many people that may not have been reached before by music.
Paolo Nutini is one of the first indie artists that has been signed to a label that released their debut album for a free download online 'These Streets' reached number 3 in the UK top 40 chart in july 2006. Paolo has been producing the same genre of music since this album yet had tried to expand his fanbase by producing more jazz like music.
